1. Is this allowed in my building?
Yes. Cool Solutions systems are designed specifically for apartment and condominium buildings. We only operate in buildings that are approved or pre-approved by property management or strata councils.
2. Will this damage my window or unit?
No. Installations are non-invasive and fully reversible. No drilling or permanent modifications are required. The window insert is custom-fit and removed cleanly at the end of service.
3. How loud are the units?
Portable air conditioners produce audible operating noise, similar to a fan combined with a low hum. During installation, the unit is operated at full output so residents can hear the noise level and confirm it meets their expectations.
4. Will it actually cool my space?
Yes. Units are sized based on room size, ceiling height, and sun exposure. Cooling performance depends on conditions and may take time during extreme heat. If performance is not adequate, we will upgrade the unit size where appropriate.
5. What if I decide it’s not for me?
You may cancel with 30 days’ notice. Installation fees are non-refundable, and rental payments continue during the notice period. Equipment is retrieved at the end of that period.
6. What happens if I move out mid-season?
If you move out, you may cancel with 30 days’ notice. Installation fees remain non-refundable. In some cases, the system may be transferred to a new tenant in the same unit, subject to availability.
7. What if the unit breaks or stops working?
If the unit fails during normal use, we will replace it. On-site repairs are not performed during the cooling season. Rental billing continues uninterrupted.
8. Do I need to do anything for installation?
We handle measuring, fabrication, installation, and removal. Residents only need to provide access to the unit and ensure a standard electrical outlet is available.
9. How do payments work?
Payments are billed automatically to the credit card on file or direct bank payments. Manual invoicing is not offered. Failed payments may result in service suspension or equipment retrieval.
10. What happens at the end of the season?
At the end of the rental term, we coordinate retrieval of the unit and window insert. Everything is removed cleanly, and your window is returned to its original condition.
